Meet Coco!
Tell us a little about yourself!
Hello Iām Coco from Singapore:) People have told me that Iām an animated and bubbly person, so donāt mind me if I get too excited talking about Salsa!
Aside from Salsa dancing, I also enjoy bouldering as well, you can check out my boulder videos at @bouldchewo! During my free time I also like to volunteer with @cloop, a circular fashion enterprise that focuses on reducing fashion overconsumption and waste.
How did you get into learning Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba and/or Zouk dance in Singapore?
Well I actually started learning Salsa when I was studying overseas in the UK. Back then I was really into Latin music and wanted to learn how to dance to it. When I came back to Singapore, I wanted to continue dancing Salsa, so I went for Caliente Dance Studioās trial lesson. And thatās how my journey at Caliente began!
What is your favourite dance class and why?
Salsa is definitely my favourite (you can see why I could be biased here). I just like how fast-paced and challenging the moves are, it gives me a great sense of satisfaction when I can do my turns right!
What do you enjoy the most about dancing Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba and/or Zouk?
I enjoy meeting and connecting with new people. The environment is so diverse and itās amazing to be able to bond with people over the love of dancing regardless of their race, age, nationalities or background.
