Meet Susie!

Tell us a little about yourself!

Hello, my name is Susie. I like to dance and I like being active šŸ˜Ž

How did you get into learning Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba and/or Zouk dance in Singapore?

I was actually looking for a sport that would keep me active in a fun way, and at the same time something that I can enjoy after long hours at work.

At first I wasn't sure if dancing Salsa and Bachata was something that I would like, but after the first trial class, I felt I needed to do this more often. Now I'm so happy going to the dancing classes. I've gained more confidence and also got to know many nice people.

What is your favourite dance class and why?

Honestly, I like ALL the Dance Classes. Although they are different, they give me the same joy and excitement as well as the opportunity to get better and learn something new.

What do you enjoy the most about dancing Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba and/or Zouk?

Well, actually I could say so many things. In addition to dancing being great fun and a great way to stay active and social, I think the feeling of learning and mastering a new skill is very pleasing and important. In the beginning, you may feel a bit uncertain and clumsy but as your skills improve after joining more dance classes, you gain more confidence and the level of enjoyment increases every time. It's addictive šŸ˜

What reasons will you give to someone to start learning how to dance Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba and/or Zouk?

Learning to dance has so many benefits. Firstly you can learn something new in a fun way. There are many different levels, and you can progress at your own pace. Dancing is also good exercise and an excellent way to be active. Maybe the most important thing is that through dancing you can meet a lot of nice people and can make new like-minded friends in the process.

Which Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba and/or Zouk song do you like the most?

There are many nice Latin song for sure, but I like La Bachata by Manuel Turizo the most.šŸ˜
