This week, let us introduce to you one of our dancer who has been doing both Salsa and Bachata Solo and Partner dance classes.
Meet Joyce :)
How did you get into learning Salsa and Bachata dance?
I tried Salsa a few years ago in Spain and after circuit breaker I came upon Caliente Dance Studio and signed up for Salsa and also Bachata since I have always wanted to try Latin dance and learn the art form.
What’s your favorite dance class at Caliente Dance Studio so far and why?
It’s hard to decide so I would say I enjoy both for different reasons. 😍Salsa is fast, catchy and gives you a good workout while Bachata is romantic and has a more sensual feel and presentation.
What do you enjoy the most from dancing?
The joy and positive vibes that comes with it. It’s a very good stress reliever! I tend to forget about everything else while dancing, especially after a long day at work.
Also, the satisfaction of seeing yourself improving (even just little ones) with time or finally mastering the movements after repeated practice.
What reasons would you give to someone to start learning how to dance?
You are never too old to learn anything new. Dancing is a beautiful art where you communicate through body language, in addition to releasing endorphins and giving you a good workout. It trains your memory, balance and coordination also. You get to meet lots of new friends who are into this passion too!
